I think Volodos is a better technician than Yuja Wang, but I prefer Wang's more sensitive and musical treatment. She brings a lightness to the piece which is refreshing. Volodos brings a hammer. Both pale into the background compared to Cziffra who was possibly the most prodigious technician of the twentieth century. Better than Gilels, Richter, Lhevene, Godowsky, and possibly even Rachmaninoff.
